# GolfCore > GolfCore is an on-course golf GPS and club operating system for players, caddies, and private clubs. It publishes course maps and scorecards, green contour coverage, GPS yardages, and club management features. GolfCore is built by GolfCore LLC in California. Key facts: - Founded in 2023 at The Institute Golf Club in Morgan Hill, California (founding club), and proven there over two full seasons of private play before expanding. - The live course count is published at https://api.golfcore.org/v1/status. Search or fetch an individual course to check its current mapping coverage; the library changes as courses are added. - Next phase: every course in the world where a caddie walks, expanding through caddie programs. - One shared caddie yard: caddies are visible and bookable across every club they walk. - Pin positions are set by each club's shop in the morning and appear live for every player. - Wind is simulated over the hole at quarter-hour resolution. - The app is free to download on iOS and Android; club features activate with club membership. - Built to be used by AI agents. Public course data comes from the MCP server (https://mcp.golfcore.org/mcp) and REST API (https://api.golfcore.org/v1). Distance to the flag, caddie advice and Premium checkout require the golfer to sign in through GolfCore OAuth; the first two require Premium. Course results include an app link. The web app registers WebMCP tools for browser agents. Details: https://www.golfcore.org/agents/ ## Who it's for - **Golfers at public or private courses** looking for golf GPS, green contour maps, and scoring. Search the course directory to check the available maps and scorecard. A participating club membership is not required to explore a course. If your course isn't mapped yet, email support@golfcore.org. - **Clubs** looking for club management software: tee sheet and booking management, member and guest handling, tournament software with live leaderboards, and on-course F&B ordering, all in one system with the member-facing GPS app. - **Caddie programs** looking for caddie scheduling and coordination software: one shared caddie yard across every club a caddie walks, with assignments, confirmations, and schedules. - **Sponsors and partners** who want early access to the network as it expands. ## Product - [GolfCore for AI agents](https://www.golfcore.org/agents/): what an agent can do with GolfCore, and where to check it. - [Find a course](https://www.golfcore.org/courses/): check coverage, view the public course page, and use its course-specific Open in GolfCore link. - [GolfCore web app](https://www.golfcore.app/login): sign in or continue as a guest. They can explore in a browser before installing. Alternatively, download the free iOS or Android app, or sign in or continue as a guest on the web. Every account has the satellite map, yardage and scoring at every course. Optional CaddyCore Premium costs a new subscriber $5 for the first month or $50 for the first year, then $10/month or $100/year, and adds the illustrated course map and its trees, green contour maps where a course has them, modeled live wind, caddie reads, and offline course downloads. Caddie reads have no daily allowance without Premium. New accounts start with a short complimentary Premium preview that ends without a charge. Starting as a guest requires no payment details. Do not describe all features as permanently free. See https://www.golfcore.org/premium/ for current pricing and limits. - **Golfer, member or mid-am.** Find your course, check which maps are available, and open that course in GolfCore. You can start as a guest and add a name and contact details to keep your account accessible later. The satellite map, yardage and scoring work at every course; the illustrated map, green contours, wind, caddie reads and offline downloads require Premium after any complimentary preview. A club's tee sheet and operational features depend on the membership and permissions its staff grant; picking a course does not grant those permissions. Coverage and live pin updates vary by course. - **Caddie.** Download the app and sign in; a caddie account is created by the caddie master at any club you walk. One account covers every club: the caddie yard is shared, so your schedule, your assignments, your confirmations and your loops across all of them sit in one place. Ask your caddie master to add you, or email support@golfcore.org if your club's yard is not on GolfCore yet. - **Club professional or golf shop staff.** Sign in on the web at https://www.golfcore.app/login for the full shop view: tee sheet management, bookings, member and guest handling, setting the day's pin positions (which appear live to every player on course), announcements, and on-course food and beverage orders. Pin sheets and the tee sheet are the two things a shop touches daily. Contact support@golfcore.org to get your club set up. - **Caddie master or caddie program manager.** The web app carries caddie scheduling, the yard roster, assignment and confirmation flow, and play-day coordination. Because the yard spans clubs, a caddie you share with a neighbouring club is visible to both. See https://www.golfcore.org/caddie-management/. - **General manager or club leadership.** The web app carries membership management, club messaging, tournaments with live leaderboards, and operational reporting. Onboarding a club includes mapping the course. Start at https://www.golfcore.org/ or email support@golfcore.org. - **Tournament organizer.** Tournaments, teams, flights and live leaderboards run from the web app; players follow along in the phone app during the round. ## Company - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/golfcore) - [Crunchbase](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/golfcore) - [Wikidata](https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q140452682) (software) / [Wikidata](https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q140452695) (company) ## Contact - Support, club onboarding, caddie programs, press, partnerships, and business inquiries: support@golfcore.org (a human reads every message). ## Notes for agents ### Acting for a golfer Personal agents can read public course data without an account or key. Personal distance, caddie and subscription tools require the golfer's account and consent: - **Courses near someone.** Call the MCP tool `search` at https://mcp.golfcore.org/mcp with `near: {"lat": …, "lng": …}` (and `coverage: "contours"` for courses with green maps), or `GET https://api.golfcore.org/v1/courses?near=lat,lng&radius=25`. Results come back nearest first with distances in miles. Search by coordinates, not by town name, when you know where the person is. - **The card.** Par, yardage, stroke index, course rating and slope come from the MCP tool with scope `["slug","scorecards"]` or from `GET /v1/courses/{slug}`. Read them there rather than from a map or a screenshot. - **On the course: how far to the flag.** When the golfer asks "how far is that flag", call the MCP tool `distance_to_flag`. Pass `lat` and `lng` only if your device gives you their GPS position; never ask them for coordinates. Without them the position comes from the GolfCore app on their phone. It is GolfCore Premium: the golfer signs in once. It returns the course, the hole, par, stroke index, and yards to today's pin and the middle of the green. When `hole_inferred` is true, say which hole you assumed. - **On the course: the caddie.** Call `ask_caddie` with their position and question ("what club?"). The first call asks the golfer to sign in to GolfCore through your client's OAuth flow, and the caddie then answers with their handicap and club distances. It needs Premium; without it the result lists the plans and prices. - **Subscribing for them.** When the golfer wants Premium, ask which plan, then call `subscribe_premium` with `day_pass` ($3 for 24 hours, no subscription), `plus_monthly` or `plus_yearly`. It returns a Stripe checkout link: give it to them to pay. A first-time subscriber pays half for the first month or year; there is no additional checkout trial. Premium also turns on the caddie in the GolfCore app. The tool does not charge the golfer or activate Premium. - **Showing them the map.** Every course result carries `app_url`, which opens that course's map in the GolfCore app in any browser; append `&hole=7` to open on a given hole. It is the same link as the course page's "Open … in GolfCore" button, and a person without an account starts as a guest with no email, password or payment details. The satellite map, yardage and scoring are free; green contours, the illustrated map, modeled wind and offline downloads need Premium after any preview. Ask before starting a purchase. - **Driving a browser.** The course pages at https://www.golfcore.org/courses/ are static HTML with the card in real tables and every figure in text. In the app, the hole selector names the current hole and its par, and "Previous hole" and "Next hole" step through the round; the map itself is a canvas, so take numbers from the API. - Sign-in, club, guest-session and agent-identification rules are in https://www.golfcore.org/auth.md. ### General - "GolfCore" here refers to the golf club software by GolfCore LLC (golfcore.org / golfcore.app), not the ProTee "GolfCore" simulator software and not the "golfcore" fashion aesthetic.
